Recognizing Student Achievement & Celebrating Donor Support

Every year, the School awards scholarships and bursaries to deserving students. These awards are made possible by donors who provide invaluable ongoing support for the School’s activities.

In April 2014, the School’s 2013/14 scholarship recipients and award-establishing donors were honoured at a special Student Achievement and Donor Recognition event hosted by the Faculty of Education.

The School would like to take this opportunity to extend appreciation to all of our donors, including those who have established SIS awards and scholarships. These awards attract, support, and recognize bright scholars who carry on the legacy of the School and make a difference to society and to the field of information studies.

“The fellowship has not only helped to alleviate some of my financial burden, but it has also allowed me to devote more time to this program instead of finding ways to pay for it. More importantly, it was the reassurance, and the support, that I needed to continue. Thank you for your support and your generosity.” – 2015 SIS fellowship awardee
